My family and I had been planning to move to Hawaii when our daughter graduated in June of 2004. We've been researching both islands for the past 2 years trying to decide on Maui or the Big Island. We had been working with 2 realtors on the Big Island and have found them both to be slow in responding to inquiries and keeping us informed. We were very impressed with Janice.  Although we had not met face to face, she continued to email us several times a week each time a new listing would come up.  I'm sure she gets many clients from the mainland that are talkers and never actually go through with their move so we were grateful that she followed up all inquiries we had.  She would go view properties and take digital photos for us, provided us with names and phone numbers of places of interest we had questions about.  She even went to the school our son wanted to attend and picked up registration paperwork and sent it to me so he could be enrolled prior to moving.  She directed us to the Maui County Websites on neighborhood rules and regulations, the difference between zoning areas.  The weather on the different parts of the islands  Anytime we had a question, she was quick to respond and research anything we asked. 

We didn't meet in person until this past January when we came to look for property and she cleared her schedule for the week we were here and was available to us 24/7 during our trip.  We made a back up offer on a home which we ended up getting several weeks later after we had returned home.  She was quick in providing us with necessary paperwork by mailing or faxing information making it convenient for our time 3 hours later which would interfere with her personal time but she was there making it happen.  She has been a great help to me and my family and has continued to make herself available even now that we have moved here.  We are forever grateful for Janice Goodnight for finding us our dream home and making all the transactions run smoothly.
